Oliver Norwood completed a transfer from Reading to Brighton & Hove Albion in August 2016 and signed on a three-year deal.

He began his career at Manchester United, and following loan spells with Carlisle, Scunthorpe and Coventry, he eventually moved to Huddersfield in the summer of 2012 on a free transfer.
 
He went on to make 90 appearances for the Terriers, scoring nine times, before signing for Reading in August 2014. He has played 92 times for the Royals, finding the net five times.
 
Born in Burnley, Norwood represented England at under-16 and under-17 level, but switched to the Northern Ireland B squad in 2009.
 
He has since represented the Irish at under-19 and under-21 level, before winning his first senior cap in August 2010. He now has 38 caps for his country, and was part of the squad that progressed into the knockout stages of the Euro 2016.
