Walton joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Plymouth Argyle in February 2013 on a three-year deal before signing a new four-year deal in July 2014.

The 19-year-old began his career at the age of 10 in the Argyle youth system and appeared on the first-team bench three days after his 16th birthday for an FA Cup tie against Stourbridge.
Walton made his Albion senior debut for the Seagulls aged 18 in a League Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in October 2014.

After impressing against Spurs, the young keeper made back-to-back Championship appearances against Wigan and Blackburn in November, and was named man of the match in the Seagulls 1-0 win over the Latics.
The stopper has also represented England at under-19 and under-20 level. He recently returned to the club after a successful loan spell at Luton Town where he made 33 appearances for the club between August 2016 and January 2017.
