Ali Al-Habsi joined Brighton & Hove Albion on a one-month loan deal in November 2014 from Wigan Athletic.

The Omani international started his career at Al-Nasr before going on to spend three years with Norwegian side Lyn Oslo.

He arrived in England in 2006 by joining Bolton Wanderers and then in a bid to gain regular first-team football, signed for the Latics on a season-long loan deal in July 2010.

An impressive campaign resulted in the 32-year-old earning a £4million permanent transfer and he went on to establish himself as a first-team regular at the DW Stadium.

Al-Habsi then found first-team opportunities hard to come by in the 2014/15 season, making just one appearance in a 2-1 defeat to Burton Albion in the Capital One Cup.

A move to Albion followed, as the goalkeeper was brought in as cover for the injured David Stockdale.
