An estimated 2000 Albion fans gathered on Brighton seafront yesterday to demonstrate to delegates at the Liberal Democrats party conference how much they want a new stadium.
The supporters were joined by Michel Kuipers and Kerry Mayo who were representing the first team squad, and former captain Paul Rogers, in front of the Brighton Centre, where the conference is being held this week.
Chairman Dick Knight addressed the crowd, along with Lib Dem and former mayor of Brighton & Hove Jenny Barnard-Langston, Seagulls Party candidate Ed Bassford, Conservative parliamentary candidate for Lewes Jason Sugarman and chairman of the Falmer For All Campaign Paul Samrah.
Later in the evening, members of the Falmer For All Campaign, replete in evening dress, delivered mock menus to Lib Dem leader Sir Menzies Campell and the other delegates attending the Party's gala dinner. Amongst the dishes being served were "Lewes Hand-Raised Porkies" and "Canard de Lewes avec Nimby Sauce."
