The Buckingham Group is now in the process of taking possession of the stadium site at Falmer, and preparing it for the official "kick-off" on Wednesday 17th December - for which the supporters' ballot is now closed.
The club will be sending invitations to those supporters who have been successful in the ballot in the next few days, with full details concerning itinerary and timings for the official start to work on site in just over a fortnight's time.
Martin Perry said, "The archaeologists have nearly completed their work at Falmer, and the Buckingham Group will spend the next fortnight preparing the site for work to start."
Those not selected in the ballot will be able to see coverage of the event on seagulls.co.uk and throughout the local media - and have the opportunity to view the site themselves via a webcam in the near future.
Perry added, "We do understand how exciting this is for all of us, but we must ask fans that wherever possible that they keep away from the site for now.
"This is now a building site and very stringent health and safety regulations will be applied. Under no circumstances should anyone try to access the site.
"To keep you informed there will be regular updates in the programme and on the website and it is intended to erect a webcam so that you can see the progress for yourself sitting at your PC.
"This is a very exciting time for our fans, the club and the city - the beginning of the end of the battle for our new home!"
