Albion have no fresh injury concerns ahead of Saturday's clash with Northampton Town (3pm).

Micky Adams's squad is boosted by the return of Adam El-Abd, who missed the 2-0 victory at Swindon after collecting five yellow cards, while Dean Cox has recovered from the virus which also ruled him out of the County Ground win.

However, Kevin Thornton has now returned to Coventry following the end of his loan stint, while Bradley Johnson and Matt Richards play the final games of their respective loan spells.

Johnson, who comes up against his former club on Saturday, looks set to return to Elland Road to try and impress new Leeds boss Simon Grayson, while Richards is weighing up his options.

Assistant manager Dean White explained, "Once a new manager comes into a club, players out on loan want to get back there to show the manager who they are and what they are about.

"Bradley is a good player at this level, scores goals and is someone we would like to have here, but he has to consider his options.

"Matt has done well for us, but he has to look at his options. The transfer window is open now and we will look at our options as well."

Meanwhile, David Livermore is due to resume training next week after recovering from knee surgery, while Gary Hart (knee) should also be back on the training pitch by the end of the month.

Michel Kuipers (broken finger) has resumed non-handling work with the rest of the goalkeepers, but is not expected to resume full training for another few weeks.

Liam Davis is suspended for the Cobblers, while skipper Chris Doig is sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, Albion have released both Scott Chamberlain and teenage winger Jack Compton. Both players were on short-term deals, which are not to be renewed.
