Albion surrendered a two-goal lead as their inability to win at Yeovil in the league continues.

First half goals from Andrew Crofts and Liam Dickinson looked to have put the Seagulls firmly on the road to victory, but a lacklustre second-half display, and a goal either side of the break from Scott Murray, gave the Glovers a share of the spoils.

On his 49th birthday, and returning to his former club, Russell Slade couldn't have wished for a better start. Just six minutes in, Elliott Bennett crossed from the right, and Yeovil only managed to clear to the edge of the area, where Crofts was perfectly placed to volley powerfully past a helpless Alex McCarthey.

Albion maintained their upbeat tempo, and Nicky Forster saw a venomous shot swerve and dip just over the bar.

As the half developed Yeovil began to get a foothold, and Albion old boys Nathan Jones and George O'Callaghan almost conspired against their former employers, but the midfielder's diving header from Jones's cross dribbled wide.

But three minutes before half-time Dickinson struck to put Albion firmly in the driving seat. The striker nodded Michel Kuipers's searching free-kick back to Crofts, who stabbed the ball back into the area. Forster controlled, and when the ball fell kindly for Dickinson, the striker despatched his third goal of the season with gusto.

Frustratingly though, the Seagulls allowed the home side to pull one back right on the stroke of half-time. The Glovers worked the ball across the face of the Albion area, and Scott Murray made no mistake with a low drive that whizzed past Kuipers.

The goal galvanised the Glovers, who had Albion pegged back for long spells in the second half. Dickinson limped off, and without his work-rate, the Seagulls struggled to create anything meaningful in Yeovil's half.

The home side meanwhile, huffed and puffed and saw the odd header go wide, and with eight minutes remaining they eventually produced a deserved equaliser when referee
Oliver Langford decided Jake Wright had pulled down Terrell Forbes in the area.

Murray made no mistake from 12 yards, and Albion had thrown away two valuable points.
