Adam Virgo is urging Albion fans to keep faith with the team and manager Mark McGhee following the 2-0 defeat against Millwall.
The Seagulls produced another good performance on the road, only to concede two weak goals, but Virgo is insisting that the team have what it takes to get bacl on the winning trail, and ultimately, to survive in the Championship.
Virgo said, "We've just got to keep working hard and working together. Everybody needs to keep behind us, behind the manager and the staff and I've no doubt that we'll get out of this and move on."
Like his fellow strikers Steve Claridge and Leon Knight, Virgo was frustrated by a mixture of missed opportunities at the New Den and good goalkeeping from Andy Marshall.
"Even though we went a goal down I thought we had enough ability to get back. In the second half we showed great character and courage to create a few chances," Virgo said.
"It was just one of those days. Charlie had a great shot, the keeper spilled it and it went to one of their players. I also had a shot, he spilled it and it went to one of their players.
"It was just one of those days and it's disappointing because we felt we could get something out of the game."
