Peter Brezovan is on his way back, after coming through 45 minutes unscathed as Albion drew 1-1 in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Reading.
The Slovakian keeper has missed the opening month of the season due to a wrist injury, but coach Charlie Oatway was pleased with his first-half display.
He told seagulls.co.uk, "Peter played well and has had no reaction to his wrist injury, which is the most pleasing aspect.
"We took him off purely as a precaution but he looked assured in goal and it was just good for him to get some game time under his belt - which was the case for a lot of the players who were in the side."
The hosts, who included former Seagulls loanees Ivar Ingimarsson and Lee Hendrie in their line-up, opened the scoring early on through the big Icelandic centre-back, before Cristian Baz equalised eight minutes before half-time with a 20-yard free-kick.
Albion also played new signing Francisco Sandaza while Mauricio Taricco had his second run-out for the club, and it was the assistant manager's performance that caught Oatway's eye - as it had done in the reserves' 0-0 draw with Gillingham last month.
"Tano played well and looked composed again on the ball, while I thought Agustin Battipiedi and Gary Hart also put in good performances.
"It was also pleasing to see Cristian get on the scoresheet with a great free-kick. The keeper dived, although I don't know why because the ball was already in the back of his net!
"Overall it was a satisfying performance; with so few reserve games at the moment, it gave our squad players some much-needed match practice.
"We could have been a bit snappier and decisive but you have to remember some of the players were blowing the cobwebs off."
