Poyet's Relishing LuaLua Return

Gus Poyet has told seagulls.co.uk of his delight as he appears to have finally secured the services of Newcastle United winger Kazenga LuaLua.

The Albion boss's summer-long pursuit of the fleet-footed 19-year-old is due to successfully conclude tomorrow, with LuaLua set to sign with Albion on loan until 3rd January 2011.

Poyet said, "We are really pleased to have finally agreed a deal with Newcastle to take Kazenga until the end of the year. It's taken a bit of time, but I am sure it will prove to have been worth it.

"Everybody knows what Kaz is capable of producing, from his successful spell with us last year. We know what he brings; he will give us another attacking dimension with his pace.

"He made a very big impact during his time here last season, and I am hoping he can do the same and add a few goals to his game this time around."

LuaLua is heading south today and is expected to complete his loan transfer by tomorrow morning, before linking up with his team-mates at Falmer for training.

Poyet also confirmed, subject to the formalities, he will name LuaLua in his squad for Wednesday night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Leyton Orient at Withdean (kick-off 7.15pm).

LuaLua proved a hit during his loan spell with Albion last season, when he played 11 times for the Seagulls.

He made his fourth appearance and second start for Newcastle in last Wednesday's 3-2 Carling Cup win over Accrington Stanley, and was selected by Sky Sports as the man of the match.
