Albion fans can expect at least two changes to the starting eleven for tonight's friendly against Portuguese La Liga side Portimonense (7pm).
With tonight's fixture the penultimate friendly before the League One campaign begins, Glenn Murray and Gordon Greer will be amongst the changes from the side that began against Sunderland on Wednesday.
The pair are suspended for Albion's first two matches of the new campaign, and Poyet now wants to intensify his preparations ahead of the season opener at Swindon Town.
He told seagulls.co.uk, "You can expect 75 per cent of the team to be the same, but I'm going to try not to play Glenn Murray or Gordon Greer. I want to give to the players who might start against Swindon Town.
"It does not mean that the eleven that play tomorrow will start against Swindon. It could be that team or there could be a couple more changes."
Meanwhile Gary Hart will sign his new one-year deal when he return to England on Monday, which will extend his Seagulls career into a 13th year
Poyet was full of praise for the former Stansted forward, adding, "Everything is ready with Gary Hart; he will sign it when we get back.
"He is an important player for many reasons; firstly because he really cares about Brighton and we need that type of character. Also, because of the way that he trains and the way that he plays.
"I want him to be one of the four or five senior figures and one of the leaders."
Meanwhile, an Albion XI were in action last night and lost 3-2 to Kingstonians. First-year pros Connor Wilkins and George Barker were on the scoresheet for the Seagulls.
