Final Score: Eastbourne Borough 3 Albion 2
Full Time: Goals from summer-signings Agustin Battipiedi and Radostin Kishishev were not enough, as the Seagulls go down 3-2 to a hard-working Eastbourne Borough.
75: GOAL! Albion fail to deal with a long throw-in from Treleavan, goalkeeper Tom Godfrey can only palm the ball away, which ricochets off defender George Haywood into his own net.
70: GOAL! Bulgarian midfielder Kishishev rifles in Albion's equaliser from the edge of the penalty area, after a good turn in the box from Barnes.
64: Albion come close to an equalising goal after Bennett was sent through by Radostin Kishishev. The winger rounded the goalkeeper, but was forced wide before squaring the ball for Erik Midtgarden, however, the Norwegian's curling effort drifted wide of the far post.
56: GOAL! After the ball pinball's around the Albion penalty area, Treleavan's initial shot is well saved by Poke - midfielder Nathan Crabb followed up the loose ball but saw his effort blocked by Greer. The ball eventually fell to Treleavan who found the net despite Smith's best efforts on the goal-line.
51: Matt Crabb tries his luck from distance, but the left midfielder's effort flies narrowly wide of Michael Poke's goal.
47: GOAL! Former Albion scholar Ollie Rowe rose highest to head home from an in-swinging free-kick, after Seagulls defender Gordon Greer was penalised for a trip on Ross Treleavan.
Half time: Eastbourne Borough 0 Albion 1
41: After a terrific passing move involving Calderon and Elliott Bennett, Ashley Barnes uses his strength to hold up the ball and lay it off to the on-rushing Alan Navarro - however, the midfielder's shot flies harmlessly over the Eastbourne crossbar.
22: Albion look comfortable in possession, but the strong wind looks to be affecting the fluency of the game at Priory Lane - where Ashley Barnes returns following a successful loan spell during the 2008-09 season. The Elphick brothers also line-up on opposing sides, which could prove to be an interesting encounter.
08: GOAL! Ashley Barnes picked up the ball on the right-hand side, the former Plymouth striker found Inigo Calderon who squared the ball for Agustin Battipiedi to smash home the opening-goal.
