Vicky Vickery and Gemma Fraser combined to deadly effect as Albion triumphed 2-1 over Cardiff City at Withdean on Sunday.
Both wingers weighed in with first-half goals and assists as the Seagulls got the better of Cardiff for the second time in a fortnight.
Albion suffered an early scare after a Cardiff shot was cleared off the line by Vicky Elcome and scrambled away.
But it seemed to give them a much-needed wakeup call, as they began to push forward and exploit the spaces behind Cardiff's wing-backs.
After missing two half-chances, Vickery eventually broke the deadlock, running on to a through-ball from Fraser to finish coolly from close range.
Their roles were reversed minutes later as Fraser deftly controlled a cross from Vickery before slotting the ball in the bottom right-hand corner for Albion's second.
Cardiff switched to a 4-4-2 formation after the break to try and solidify their defensive line as Albion continued to pass the ball with pace and precision.
But Elle Davies brought the visitors back into the game with an unstoppable drive from the edge of the box to make it 2-1 with 15 minutes to play.
A frantic finale followed as Cardiff threw bodies forward to try and snatch a late equaliser, but Albion withstood the pressure to hold on for a deserved victory.
The result sees the Seagulls maintain their unbeaten home record this season having won their last nine games in all competitions.
