Poyet's Praise for Murray

Gus Poyet tonight paid tribute to striker Glenn Murray, after he broke his year-long goal drought with the first goal in a 3-0 win over Brentford.
Murray's last goal came in the 5-0 demolition of Yeovil Town on 14th March 2009, and although he has scored 12 goals away from Withdean this season, he was yet to score in front of the home fans.
Poyet explained, "I'm delighted for Glenn and I think his drought is now over, and I predict he is going to score five more before the end of the season.
"When you play harder and harder it doesn't work for you and that is what happened. He was starting to shoot at every opportunity, but now that's over and we are all very happy.
"It's a relief for the whole team because everyone at the club was pushing him to score the goal. We were all trying to give him the ball to help him score, so we are all very happy."
Meanwhile Poyet paid tribute to the attitude of his three subs. Chris Holroyd played over an hour, after Kazenga LuaLua limped off with a hamstring injury, while Nicky Forster and Adam Virgo both scored.
"Credit to the players and in particular credit to the subs because the three that came on really helped us out.
"I need to be fair with the players and I know how hard it is for the players out of the team to see the same names down on the team sheet.
"It's because we are playing well and looking for consistency. I need to keep convincing the subs how important they are and they showed that today.
"The three that came on also showed it to the other subs how important they can be any moment in the game - particularly Adam and Nicky, who came on and scored."
Like LuaLua, Holroyd also limped out with a hamstring injury, and both players will have scans tomorrow to determine the severity.
