Albion Held at Brentford

Albion's under-18s were held to a goalless draw at Brentford on Saturday morning.

Both sides had chances to win a keenly fought contest in London, but neither outfit could find the elusive winner.

Youth team boss Steve Brown was satisfied with his side's performance, but says there is still room for improvement.

He told seagulls.co.uk, "After a spell where we had eight or nine games where we played really well for most of the game, recently we have only been able to do it in patches.

"We had a couple of great opportunities on Saturday but you have to give Brentford credit for how hard they worked to stop us creating things.

"So I was pleased with some things and disappointed with others, but that gives me plenty of things to work on at the training ground."

Albion: (4-4-2) Walker; Strong, Hall, Sheriff, Bolwell; Hayward, Wilkins, Caskey (Woodley 75), Smith (Thomson 60); Barker, Redwood. Subs not used: Cooper, Godfrey (GK).
