Poyet's Pride

Gus Poyet tonight admitted he has a selection dilemma for Saturday's game with Norwich, after his side's goalless draw against Huddersfield Town at Withdean.

The Albion boss was pleased with his side's performance tonight, but felt they deserved to record his first home league win.

He said, "I'm pleased with the performance tonight, but I'm not happy because we didn't get the points, but I cannot say anything else other than to thank the team for their performance today.

"It's a problem now for me to pick the team for Saturday and that's a good problem to have. I enjoy that problem because it's not good when the team picks itself.

"When the players have a chance they must try to take it and now everyone is in contention for Saturday and that is good for us."

A clean sheet against the second top scorers in League One, who beat Albion 7-1 in August, was another positive for Poyet.

"This is something we can build on and take into Saturday and it's down to me to make the right decision, pick the right team and play the right game.

"The key is now for the players to believe we can do it all the time, especially here. I think we did very well and I'm sure that very soon this situation will change for us.

"It's just one touch, one shot, one penalty, one decision from the ref, whatever it is it will change this situation that we are in and I'm sure of that.

"Today the feeling is that we lost two points, but we did everything possible to win it."
