Central defender Colin Hawkins is an injury doubt for Saturday's clash with Leyton Orient, after picking up a groin strain in the 2-0 win at Southend.

The Irishman has been impressive at the heart of Albion's defence, as they have maintained an unbeaten start to the new season - but Micky Adams may have to make do without the former Coventry defender for Saturday's clash with the Londoners.

Adam El-Abd is almost certain to miss out through injury, although he is expected to resume training next week - meaning Joel Lynch could be on standby for his first start under Adams, should Hawkins miss out, just a few days after having a transfer request rejected by the club.

Adams confirmed, "Joel has submitted a written transfer request but, as far as the club is concerned, I have recommended to the Board and the Board have agreed with me that we turn it down."

Meanwhile, an Albion reserve side beat Wycombe Wanderers 3-0 in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Tuesday afternoon, with Lynch, Jake Robinson and Jonny Dixon on target.

The family stand has sold out for Saturday's clash with Leyton Orient, but tickets are still available for the south and east stands. Check out the Coming Up section for full ticket details of all forthcoming Albion matches.
