Murray Targets 20 Goals

Glenn Murray has admitted both he and Nicky Forster are desperate to make it to 20 goals each for the season.

Murray notched his 19th for the season at Bristol Rovers - which includes 10 for Rochdale prior to his switch to Albion - while strike partner Forster also has 19 so far.

Murray said, "I'm absolutely delighted with the way things have gone since my move. I set myself a target and I'm nearly there.

"Both myself and Nicky are on 19 for the season and there is a bit of banter flying about but hopefully we will both get to 20 with a goal next week. It will be nice for the club to have two 20-goal scorers in the same side."

If Murray does make it to 20 it will be in no small part to midfielder Dean Cox, who provided yet another assist with a inch-perfect cross for Murray at the Memorial Stadium.

"There is definitely something developing between me and Coxy and long may it continue," Murray said.

"Coxy is a quality crosser of the ball and it is my job to get in the box and get on the end of them and lately it has been working quite well."

Murray and Forster have just one game left to reach their target, when champions Swansea visit Withdean next Saturday, and Murray hopes the Seagulls can end the season with a victory.

"We now have a good match at home next week against the probable champions. The fans will be able to see us one last time this season and hopefully we can produce three points for them."

Tickets are still available for the Swansea game. Visit the Ticket Office at 5 Queens Road, Brighton or call the Ticketline on 01273 776992.
