Forster: A Results Business

Posted on: Wed 12 Mar 2008

Albion striker Nicky Forster says the Seagulls must grind out results any way they can if they are to make it into the play-offs.

And the 34-year-old, whose 15th goal of the season at the Bescot Stadium helped Albion on their way to a valuable three points, has warned fans that games might not always be pretty between now and the end of the season.

He said, "We have now got ourselves into a position, but unless we take advantage of that now and make those results count by keeping the pressure on, then all the hard work will count for nothing.

"The teams that are superb, like Man United, who grind out win after win after win, they are the teams that obviously win the trophies.

"That is what we have to try and do. We need to try to be ruthless and to grind out results.

"Sometimes that means that the games are not pretty. We won at home a short while back and kept the ball in the corner and some supporters didn't understand the tactics, but we have to try and grind out results now.

"It is a results business. We would love to play well each week and win 3-0 and be applauded off the pitch, but if we are going to get to Wembley Stadium then we are going to have to win some nasty games, and I think we did that against Walsall."

There are still tickets available for Saturday's clash with second-placed Doncaster. Call the Ticketline on 01273 776992 or click here to buy online now!
