Adam El-Abd has praised the supporters for their part in helping Albion to fight back against Leyton Orient on Saturday.

The crowd swelled to over 6,000 for the clash, and El-Abd is adamant their support spurred the Seagulls to a valuable point.

He said, "The crowd were fantastic today, we really noticed them and they played a massive part in our being able to come back, so a real pat on the back for them."

The versatile stopper felt the 1-1 draw was a positive result in the end, despite the Seagulls failing to take advantage of excellent opportunities during the game.

"On the balance of play I would say that it was two points dropped, but being 1-0 down with less than ten minutes to go I would definitely say that it was a point gained.

"I felt personally that we were in control of the game and that the points were only going to go one way, but we shot ourselves in the foot with a rubbish goal really, conceding from our own corner.

"Having said that it showed great character to be in the situation that we were and bounce back from it, and it was fantastic that Fozzie put away the penalty to take the point.

"It is very positive considering we are six points behind the play-offs with three games in hand. We are still in the mix."

Tuesday night's clash with Gillingham is a near sell-out, but there are still a few tickets remaining. Call the Ticketline on 01273 776992 or click here to buy online now!
