Steve Thomson will make his Albion debut this afternoon for the home encounter with Huddersfield Town.

The experienced midfielder, who signed from Falkirk in midweek, will be joined by Paul Reid, who is recalled to the starting line-up.

Matt Richards will make his first appearance since rejoining on loan from Ipswich, which means Kerry Mayo starts among the substitutes.

Guy Butters is named on the bench after recovering from a calf problem.

The visitors make three changes from the side that lost 3-1 at home to Gillingham last weekend, with Michael Collins, Joe Skarz and Phil Jevons all starting.

Albion: (4-4-2) Kuipers; Whing, El-Abd, Elphick, Richards; Martot, Reid, Thomson, Cox; Forster, Revell. Subs: Mayo, Butters, Loft, Hart, Elder.

Huddersfield: (4-4-2) Glennon; Collins, Clarke, Mirfin, Skarz; Brandon, Worthington, Holdsworth, Williams; Beckett, Jevons. Subs: Berrett, Smithies (GK), Young, Kamara, Killock.

Referee: Roger East
