Posted on: Sat 12 Jan 2008

By Paul Camillin

Dean Hammond and Andrew Whing return for Albion for this afternoon's League 1 clash at Boundary Park. The duo come in for Joel Lynch, who is ruled out by a hamstring injury, and Doug Loft, who drops to the bench.

Wes Fogden keeps his place at right-back, with Whing expected to play in the left full-back berth - a role he has previously played at former club Coventry City.

Gary Hart and Kerry Mayo are both amongst the substitutes, with Paul Reid also returning to the bench after recovering from the virus which has hit the Albion squad in recent weeks.

Oldham make one change to the side which knocked Premiership Everton out of the FA Cup last week: Neal Trottman replaces Neal Eardley at centre-back alongside Stefan Stam.

Oldham: (4-4-2) Crossley, Hazell, Trotman, Stam, Lomax; Smalley, Kalala, McDonald, Allott; Davies, Hughes. Subs: Pogliacomi (GK), Eardley, Wolfenden, Alessandra, Black.

Albion: (4-4-2) Kuipers, Fogden, Elphick, El-Abd, Whing; Martot, Hammond, Fraser, Cox; Forster, Revell. Subs: Mayo, Reid, Loft, Hart, Elder.

Referee: Darren Drysdale
