Wes Fogden makes his Seagulls debut tonight in the Johnstone's Paints Trophy clash at the Liberty Stadium.
The 20-year-old, who battled to overcome a tumour in his back during his first season as a professional, spent time on loan at Dorchester Town earlier this season.
He will line-up at right-back, and is joined in the Albion rearguard by Joel Lynch and Adam El-Abd, who have overcome illness. Tommy Elphick completes the back four.
In midfield, Dean Wilkins hands starting places to Doug Loft and David Martot.
Gary Hart takes a place among the substitutes after being recalled from his loan spell at Havant & Waterlooville, and is joined on the bench by Kerry Mayo.
Swansea make wholesale changes from the side that drew with Havant in the FA Cup here on Saturday, with Kristian O'Leary, Andrea Orlandi, Darryl Duffy, Angel Rangel, Guillem Bauza and Paul Anderson all recalled.
Swansea: (4-4-2) De Vries; Rangel, Lawrence, Monk, Painter; Bauza, O'Leary, Orlandi, Allen; Duffy, Anderson. Subs: Britton, Pratley, Scotland, Butler, Knight.
Albion: (4-4-2) Kuipers; Fogden, Elphick, El-Abd, Lynch; Martot, Fraser, Loft, Cox; Revell, Forster. Subs: Sulliuvan (GK), Mayo, Hart, Elder, Rents.
