Fozzy Urges New Year Cheer

Posted on: Fri 04 Jan 2008

Nicky Forster has urged fans to get along to Withdean on New Years Day to help put the cheer back into Albion's festive season.

Tickets for the match with Bournemouth will be available online right up until kick-off (3pm), for collection at Withdean before the game (click here for full details).

The Christmas campaign has been disappointing so far; the home match against Gillingham was frozen off, before two defeats on the road at Millwall and Yeovil.

Albion must now prepare for the Bournemouth match without the likes of Bas Savage, George O'Callaghan, Matt Richards and David Martot, but Forster insists the Withdean crowd can play their part in getting Albion's season back on track with a victory against the Cherries.

"It is important to us on many fronts," he said.

"It is important to get back to winning ways after a couple of defeats, and also for the morale in the camp.

"We need to send a message to the fans that we are not in crisis. The players who have left gave us quality, but we have a squad who are all together, and the 11 players who go out there are paid to win games, and that it what we will try and do.

"The crowd can also play their part. They have been magnificent this season, home and away, and if we all pull together in the same direction on Tuesday then I'm sure we will get a result."
