Manager Dean Wilkins says his players came through their lunchtime examination at Brisbane Road with "flying colours".
Wilkins felt his young squad were overwhelmed by the Sky cameras in the first half, but produced a much more reassured and relaxed display after the break.
"I look back on the first half with disappointment," he admitted.
"I thought that we froze slightly on the occasion and I didn't think that we passed the ball with anywhere near as much quality and calmness. It was quite welcome to come in at half-time really so we could try and talk things over, relax the players a little bit, and try and get a little bit more belief back into them.
"In the second half we showed more belief and I thought that we showed fantastic character to come back twice, and I think that character has been a feature up until now this season.
"Under the circumstances - having to come back twice - this was a big test and it is a test that I think we passed with flying colours. We showed immense character and that gives us confidence going into not just Tuesday's cup replay but the following week as well."
The Albion boss even thought his side should have come away with all three points.
"I feel we were the stronger side at the death. Jake Robinson has hit the bar, Dean Hammond was inches away from winning it, we kept getting balls into the box and their goalkeeper has had to make several saves.
"I had every confidence that we could go on and win the game, but we also had to be a little bit cautious. Twice we had pulled ourselves back level and I did not want us to go and concede one in the last five or ten minutes - so we kept Tommy Elphick back on corners and just tried to be slightly cautious in that respect, but we still wanted to get balls into the box and I still felt that we could win the game in open play.
"The players looked incredibly fit and strong towards the end of the game and we played with a little bit more quality in the second half and possibly I feel a little bit hard done by because I think that we could have won the game in the end."
