Adam El-Abd starts tonight's Johnstone's Paints Trophy match with Barnet at a damp Withdean.

The 23-year-old will partner Tommy Elphick in defence in place of the injured Guy Butters.

Elsewhere Albion are unchanged from the side that drew with Bristol Rovers at the weekend, although Tommy Fraser and Sam Rents are recalled to the bench.

Dean White will take charge of affairs tonight, as manager Dean Wilkins is absent with a virus.

Former Seagulls loanee Joe O'Cearuill returns to Withdean and will line up in the Barnet defence in place of injured captain Ismail Yakubu.
