Albion in the Community's (AITC) Health Department delivers the 'Chlamydia Screening Campaign' to an estimated 2,800 15-25-year-olds in Brighton and Hove.
Chlamydia Screening workshops and interventions are delivered at established Sporting Sessions, Outreach and citywide events, and through social media, including:
Visiting football clubs pre-season training
Events at Five-a-Side Leagues in City
Visiting Albion in the Community Summer Football Courses
Presence at Albion in the Community Cup Final Tournament
Awareness events at Brighton Hove Albion Matchdays
Supported Housing Football Tournament
Facebook information page will be set up and will aim to get between 250-1000 under 25 members.
During six weeks of action the chlamydia screening campaign is channelled through different media and social media platforms to gain maximum exposure to raise the importance of Chlamydia screening to the under 25s in Brighton & Hove.

Brighton & Hove Chlamydia Screening Team work to reduce the prevalence of sexually transmitted infections among under-25s. With one in 14 people under 25 in the UK actually having Chlamydia it has become vital to make sure that young people test for the infection to avoid what could be serious consequences in the future.
In 2010 the screening target has risen to 35% of this population group or 1,148 tests per month across the city.
