Coaching For A Safer Community

Posted on: Tue 31 Jul 2007

Albion in the Community has teamed up with East & West Sussex Fire & Rescue Services to develop a new project called Coaching for a Safer Community.

The project enables two professional fire services to form a community partnership to deliver life saving messages throughout the county of Sussex. The project has been endorsed and fully supported by the Sussex County Football Association.

The aim of the project is to primarily reduce fire and road deaths and injuries, while also delivering unique coaching sessions to help reduce arson, hoax calls, fire and road safety awareness, fire plans and identifying and calling the emergency services.

The project is proving a real success and has already reached over 6000 children, young people, adults and carers.

Football is a great leveller and a great way of making Sussex a safer place to live.
