Coach Education Courses

Posted on: Mon 01 Mar 2010

Albion in the Community is an official registered centre for the delivery of football coaching courses leading to nationally recognised qualifications: Level 1 and Level 2 Certificates In Coaching Football.

This initiative links together and further enhances the existing work of Albion in the Community in two areas: the football course programmes for children and our nationally acclaimed adult education. The major benefit of an Albion in the Community course is that students can gain additional experience working in the club's high profile community scheme alongside highly qualified football coaches

Level 1 Certificate In Coaching Football

The Level 1 course provides a practical qualification which is the first step on the ladder for anyone wishing to become a football coach.

It is suitable for any individual over 16 years old whether they are wanting to gain a qualification to start a career in sports or leisure or whether they are someone who is running a team on a voluntary basis and wishes to gain more knowledge.

The Level 1 Certificate In Coaching Football Course is a 5-day course which is run on evenings and Saturdays. The course covers: coaching, administration, player and coach development, laws of the game, emergency first aid, child protection, working with parents and others in football and fundamentals.

Level 2 Certificate In Coaching Football

The Level 2 course is a natural progression from the Level 1 course for coaches who wish to further develop their knowledge and progress in their careers. If you already hold the Level 1 and wish to enquire about the Level 2 course please email the Albion's Football Development Manager, Larry May.
