BTEC National Award In Sport Level 3
Brighton & Hove Albion was the first English football club to offer a BTEC course to the general public in 2005/06, as part of our successful adult education programme.
We have an excellent pass rate with many learners gaining merits and distinctions. Some students have progressed on to degree courses as a result of their BTEC success, some have gone into sports related employment, while several have joined Albion in the Community as part of the Football Development programme.
In addition, our Albion youth team players have been studying BTEC Sports courses for several years with great success, under the supervision of our Principal of Education, Alan Sanders.
The BTEC Award is a Level 3 course and it is the equivalent of one A Level. Albion in the Community offers the course as either a part-time evening or daytime course (subject to group numbers), to help learners fit their studies around other commitments. Courses are offered in partnership with City College Brighton & Hove and Northbrook College. Acceptance to the course is by interview.
Click here for more information about the course.
Cost: Ages 16-19 are fully funded. For over 19s the fees are £100 per term or reduced rate subject to status. Please contact us for details.
Dates: September - June. Two sessions a week.
