AITC's new Environment department has joined forces with Brighton-based social network Caydoo, a new social platform designed to promote global sustainability.
The site works using geo-location, helping to connect sustainably-minded peers, groups, events and companies. The partnership reinforces AITC's commitment to empower the local community with information and knowledge to help them live more sustainably.
Supporters can now connect with peers on Caydoo's Albion in the Community group, sharing information about environmental initiatives they have been involved with, both within and outside the club.
To celebrate the partnership, AITC has sponsored Caydoo's 'Brighton's A Picture of Sustainability' photography competition which launched this week. Students and members of the local community are challenged to capture their idea of sustainability in the city in just one shot.
Prizes include tickets to an Albion home league game, a £500 Clock Tower Cameras voucher and a year's Zipcar membership.
The best 25 entries will be exhibited at the Amex on Thursday 1st March, where winners will be judged and announced.
Closing date for entries is Friday 17th February.
