Albion in the Community were featured on Sky TV - live - throughout the day yesterday discussing the innovative Want to Work initiative.

AITC's joint managing director Alan Sanders was on air at 10.30am giving an overview of Albion in the Community while the students from the East Stand Brasserie - located in the East Stand - were asked questions an hour earlier. Albion chief executive Martin Perry and AITC trustee Gary Peters were also interviewed for transmission in the Sky News evening broadcast.

In October, AITC launched Want to Work in front of 86 members of the local business community in the West Stand press lounge. The scheme aims to deliver training, qualifications, work experience, apprenticeships and jobs to jobseekers in Sussex and will achieve this by bringing together a community that includes voluntary, public and private sector organisations.

It is planned to grow the initiative to 40 companies by the end of 2011 and to over 100 by the season close. If you are a business and would like to get involved with Want to Work please contact:
