Albion defender Tommy Elphick and his Granddad Albert joined over 30 guests and participants for a specially arranged exercise class for elderly fall sufferers at the Amex last week.

The injured defender and former Albion Chairman Dick Knight were part of an event in the East Stand to celebrate the success of AITC's 'Standing Tall' project.

The project was chosen from 30 others, at football clubs across the country to showcase Extra Time, a national programme led by the Football Foundation and Sport Relief which aims to engage the over-55s in physical and social activity.

AITC head of health, Stuart Christie said, "It was a fantastic example of how the stadium can be used to deliver our community work.

"It was an inspiring setting for all of our participants and I'm extremely proud that the Football Foundation chose our project to highlight the work of the national Extra Time programme."

The participants, all between the ages 66 and 87 were also treated to a tour of the stadium and lunch in the East Stand Brasserie, prepared by trainee chefs from City College.
