Time Capsule Competition

Albion's community project has launched an exciting Stadium Time Capsule Competition, giving Sussex school children the chance to select items to be buried beneath the new Community Stadium at Falmer.
The once-in-a-lifetime aim of the competition, which is open to all Year Four classes in the county, is for class groups to select eleven objects which they feel best represent the club and time in which we live.
The class who comes up with the best list, will be celebrated within the stadium and the objects they choose will go into the capsule and will be buried in the stadium in a position where it can be seen by visitors for years to come.
Martin Perry said, "We believe it's important to involve the local community and this is a fantastic opportunity for the younger generation of Seagulls fans to stamp their mark on the new stadium.
"The objects which are eventually contained in the capsule will be representative of the local community and club of today, and will generate added interest to all generations for many years to come."
The winners will be invited to the burial ceremony at the stadium on Thursday 10th December 2009 and invited as guests to attend the Brighton & Hove Albion first team fixture against Colchester United, on Friday 11th December 2009 (Kick off 7.45pm).
A flyer, which is being sent to all local schools, is also available to download. The winning school will be announced in mid-November.
