Albion have been nominated in two categories at this year's Football League Awards.

Albion in the Community's RSL Project, which has joined forces with various housing associations in Sussex to deliver football sessions to disadvantaged residents, is in the running for the Best Community Initiative for League One.

At last year's ceremony Albion scooped the overall award for Community Club of the Year.

Albion managing director Ken Brown said, "We're proud to be the current Football League Community Club of the Year, but since we received the award we have continued to deliver fantastic projects in the community. We're absolutely delighted that the RSL project has been shortlisted."

The other clubs vying for Best Community Initiative in League One are Leyton Orient, Northampton Town and Southend United.

Meanwhile, Seagull, Albion's matchday magazine, has been nominated for Best Programme and faces competition from Bristol City, Hull City, Norwich City, Watford and West Brom.

Brown added, "The matchday programme is one of the prime methods for the club to communicate with our fans and the community at large.

"A tremendous amount of work goes into producing the programme each and every matchday, and we're delighted that the efforts of the editorial team have been recognised."

The winners will be announced at a glitzy ceremony at the Park Lane Hilton in London on Sunday 2nd March.
