Ever fancied yourself as a football pundit? Want to get your views and opinions across to your fellow fans? Or try your hand at sports journalism? Then now is your chance. You can represent your club by becoming a Club 2010 blogger. You can tell us your thoughts and views on the game, the players, the tactics and strategy, and your personal experiences during the tournament. To become a blogger for your club enter our competition now and submit your "Funniest World Cup Moment" to us in 150-200 words.We expect the submission to be:

  • Funny
  • Display knowledge of football
  • Ensure adequate spelling and correct use of grammar
  • From a supporter of the club

Once the competition is over all winners will be contacted on how and when their individual blog will launch. All blog postings and images uploaded will be moderated before being published as part of the terms and conditions of the competition and are expected to be suitable for all age audiences.

Individuals must be over 18 and terms and conditions apply. The closing date for the competition will be 17th May 2010.
South Africa 2010 Blog Competition Terms & Conditions of Entry

  • 1. The promoter of the competition is FL Interactive Limited (registered number 4112553) of Unit 5b, Edward VII Quay, Navigation Way, Preston PR2 2YF (FLi)
  • 2. FLi is running a competition to find up to 82 individuals to write blogs on action in South Africa for the website FLi intends to operate during the period of the tournament
  • 3. In order to find those individuals we are asking people to submit an article of 150 - 200 words titled Funniest World Cup Moment.
  • 4. Articles must be submitted in accordance with the following guidelines:-
  • (a) not later than 4.00pm on 17th May 2010;
  • (b) emailed to blog2010@football-league.co.uk
  • (c) be factually accurate, not defamatory, insulting or disrespectful of any individual or organisation;
  • (d) be original, well written, relevant and entertaining to readers;
  • (e) demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of football; and
  • (f) stipulate the name of the Club that you support.
  • 5. Entries are limited to one entry per person. Multiple entries will result in disqualification.
  • 6. Entrants must be 18 years of age or over.
  • 7. FLi reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of FLi, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & conditions of entry or who has, in the opinion of FLi, engaged in conduct in entering the Competition which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Competition and/or FLi. FLi reserves the right to disqualify a winner if FLi becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner's entry is of a type described in this clause.
  • 8. All entries will be judged by a panel of judges selected by FLi. The entries judged to be the best and most entertaining (having regard to the criteria in paragraph 4 above) shall be declared the winner. There will be one winner per Club.
  • 9. The competition is not open to employees of FLi or their family members.
  • 10. All entries become the property of FLi.
  • 11. FLi will collect personal information about you to enable you to participate in this competition. Details of how that information will be used can be found in our privacy policy
  • 12. The prize is for one supporter from each Club to be selected to become the Official South Africa Blogger for that Club's world cup website. That role will be unpaid and you will not become an employee of FLi or any Club. The Rules of Blogging shall apply to that role. All blogs will be moderated to ensure compliance with the Rules of Blogging. You will be asked to supply a photograph of yourself to accompany your blogs, and by doing so you consent to us storing and publishing that photograph on the website we create to feature your blogs.
  • 13. The judges' decision will be final. No correspondence will be entered into.

  • 1. Blog Posts will be moderated seven days per week.
  • 2. Please keep your Blog Posts clean. We reserve the right to remove comments at any time at our absolute discretion.
  • 3. Try to keep Blog Posts relevant and below 600 words. We may fail posts that are too long and also reject off-topic Blog Posts because we want to keep this blog focused.
  • 4. You must not submit Blog Posts which:
  • (a) are considered likely to provoke, attack or offend others;
  • (b) are racist, sexist, homophobic, sexually explicit, abusive or otherwise objectionable;
  • (c) contain swear words or other language likely to offend;
  • (d) break the law or condone or encourage unlawful activity. This includes breach of copyright, defamation and contempt of court;
  • (e) advertise products or services for profit;
  • (f) are seen to impersonate someone else;
  • (g) include contact details such as telephone numbers and postal or email addresses;
  • (h) are written in anything other than English;
  • i) contain links to websites other than the Official Club Websites.
