Albion under-21 striker Shamir Goodwin has joined Torquay United on a one-month loan deal.
The forward will be available for the Gulls’ trip to AFC Wimbledon this weekend as the League Two side continue their battle against relegation.
Goodwin has already been on loan to Tonbridge Angels this season where he impressed, finding the net five times for the Conference South side.
Head of football operations David Burke said, “After his successful loan spell at Tonbridge, Shamir now has the opportunity to showcase his abilities in the Football League.
“He will need to adapt because he is entering a higher level but, as with all loan spells, the move is there to help the growth of the player and it adds to the experience he already had earlier this season.”
Under-21 coach Simon Ireland added, "Sham has progressed really well this season and you could see he got a lot out of the time he has already spent out on loan this season.
"He is an example to all young footballers about how quickly things can change for them. The key is using the best of your ability, working hard and showing commitment and he has done that both with us and during his loan spell at Tonbridge, and off the back of that he has got himself a move to a league club."
