Bridcutt Named Player of the Year

Liam Bridcutt has been named the Albion Player of the Year for the second successive year after scooping the award at tonight’s Player of the Year Awards Ceremony, hosted at the Amex.

The midfielder won the poll with a huge 56 per cent of the Albion fans’ votes, as left-back Wayne Bridge finished second and Tomasz Kuszczak finished third.

Spanish midfielder David Lopez won the Goal of the Year vote for his stunning free-kick against Crystal Palace at the Amex during March, while development squad midfielder Solly March was named the Young Player of the Year.

Elsewhere, Inigo Calderon added to his Football League award last month by scooping the Community Player of the Year award and Lily Agg was named the Women’s Player of the Year. 

Dave Hylands was named the Brighton & Hove Albion Fan of the Year; look out for the full story on seagulls.co.uk tomorrow (Wednesday).
