Midfielder Liam Bridcutt has completed a move to Sunderland for an undisclosed fee.
The midfielder agreed personal terms with the Black Cats this afternoon and leaves the Seagulls after three-and-a-half years with the club.
Bridcutt joined the Seagulls in August 2010 following a season ending injury to Alan Navarro left the club short of midfielders; the former Chelsea trainee went on to become a two –time Albion Player of the Year.
The 24-year-old secured a regular first-team spot and went on to make over 100 appearances for Brighton, scoring twice during his time on the south coast, and helped the club to win the League One championship in 2011.
Head coach Oscar Garcia commented on the move telling seagulls.co.uk, “On behalf of the club I would like thank Liam for his time and efforts at the Albion and we wish him well for the future.”
